The Kimono is a fascinating garment to wear, let alone all the details and work it took to make one. They can cost a pretty penny, but to see it up close, its quite breath-taking to look upon.
At an international convention, they were quite alot of Japanese women in their traditional Kimonos, and unique Obi belts in square knots to bow tied (I believe to indicate if the women is married or single).
I took some photos of the different Obi belts and fabrics that the Kimonos came in...imagine a man's necktie store with an endless array of silks and bright coloured ties. Now, imagine those same silk ties in larger scale, to fit like a robe...unbelievable work involved.
But as I had to question one of the girls in her beautiful Kimono,...I quietly ask, "How do you go the the bathroom?"...Her reply, "Very carefully."
